One Direction..

nooo, waittttttt! before you click out of this post, or keep on scrolling, just hear me out..please?

Alright, so being 20 years old, people like to give me shit for liking One Direction. I hate that just because they're a boy band, people automatically assume they're a shitty group and that only fourteen year old girls can listen to their music. Why? If I like an artist, it shouldn't be a problem how old I am. No one told YOU to like them, I'm not FORCING you to like them, I'm simply a fan and it shouldn't cause any stares or unwanted opinions from other people. About 80% of the people who claim they don't like them, haven't even listened to their songs. Give them a chance! Seriously. The songs the radio plays of them don't do them any justice - seriously, I'm sick of "Live While We're Young" and "What Makes You Beautiful" and I'm actually a 1D fan! They have songs with meaning such as, Little Things (which was written by Ed Sheeran, but sang beautifully by the boys on their TMH album), Over Again (also written by Ed) is a really good song, and their faster paced songs are catchy!

Idk. Before you judge me for liking them, give them a freaking shot. Don't put them down just because they're a boy band. They're really freaking talented, have you heard the pipes on these boys ?! OH & them being really attractive is a nice bonus ;) … & before you say anything about my age and One Direction remember that one of the band members was born in '91, which makes him older than me and the rest of the boys are over 18 thank you very much. So the inappropriate thoughts are acceptable. Wait. What. Did I say that out loud..? NO…. *nervous smile* .. There's my cue to go.

I can admit that up until earlier this year, I had no idea who he was. Have you heard of a little group called, One Direction? Probably not, they're not that famous. Anyways, I fell in love with them when their first single came out. I couldn't even tell who was who, I kept confusing their names. Now, if you question me about them I can probably give you more answers than their own mother…okay, that's definitely an exaggeration, point is, I like them…a lot. Well, during their first tour, they covered a song called "The A Team". I never heard of it, so I looked it up on Youtube with lyrics. I instantly fell in love. Since then, I've been hooked on Ed Sheeran and his amazingness. His song writing ability is out of this world! Unlike most artists nowadays, his songs actually have meaning. & don't even get me started on his voice! He seriously has such an amazing, calming voice. Jesus literally made his voice box special, for real. He seems like the biggest sweetheart & I hope to one day be able to meet this amazing man. Don't believe me? Check him out for yourself. Some of my favorite songs by him are, The A Team, Wake Me Up, Kiss Me, Give Me Love, Drunk and Lego House. (He also wrote one of my favorite 1D songs, Little Things) I swear after you listen to his songs you'll be thanking me. So, here's my "you're welcome" in advance ;)

OMG. WHO AM I?!

Introducing yourself has to be one of the hardest things to do in life. I never know what to say. Someone tells me to say something about myself and I panic! My heart races and so many thoughts are rumbling in my head and all I can think is, "Who am I?" Well….Here goes nothing!

My name is Julissa. I'm 20 years old & a junior in college majoring in Culinary Arts. According to others, I've been called funny, sassy, crazy, bitchy. What? Isn't that how everyone is like? No? Well then……..let's move on, shall we?! I'm crafty, but not artistic. Is that possible? Did that make sense? Like, I'm good at being somewhat inventive when needed and coming up with creative ideas but when it comes to drawing/painting…I'm horrible. I wish I was better at it though, It's a skill I've always wanted to have. Um..Lets see..what else can I say… Oh! I want to be a personal chef at some point in my life. I used to want to own a restaurant, until I realized how much work went into it. I thought it was simple: get a building, make it pretty, serve food. Nope. Wrong. So now I rather have people pay me to come over and cook their dinner. Much easier. More random information about me: I'm addicted to almost all social media sites..(Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, etc), I love makeup & learning new techniques (even though I barely wear it….don't judge me.) I love to cook and bake (even though my baking skills aren't up to par) & I love leopard print and the color pink.  That's all, for now.
